Windows 11 Is my start menu glitched or is this a feature?

I can open the start menu just fine, but afterwards when I type any letter on my keyboards it hovers a white box over any app that begins with the letter I just typed, example. I want to play Overwatch, I click windows, I type "O" and instead of typing in the search box it hovers over the preassigned app "Outlook" if I type "O" again it hovers over the next app with "O" same with every letter. Now you would think just click the text box right? When I click that the start menu just disappears. I have tried troubleshooting, wand system restore, which I don't think worked, because it seems more o
