Windows 11 Is there a reason I can not see files put on sd-card by Windows 11 from my phone?

I have a folder and subfolders containing 1800+ photos and videos on my Windows 11 Pro PC. I took the SD card out of my phone, as I have done many times before. I copied all the files from the PC to the SD card. Then I put the SD card back in the phone. The Samsung Galaxy S10 can not see the folders and files I put there. On the phone, if I try to create the same named folder in My Files, it says the folder already exists. But the phone doesn't show it its list of folders. I also tried to search for that folder named "Greece and Turkey 2023" from within the Gallery app and it didn't find
