I've had a bit of a disaster. I was recently trying make my desktop local only, and stop synchronizing with one drive. I right clicked on "desktop" in file explorer, selected "one drive", then selected "manage one drive backup" and de-selected the desktop. This caused all the folders on my desktop to disappear from the desktop(I thought they would still appear locally). I then re-selected the desktop under "manage one drive backup", which caused the folders to reappear on my desktop, but now when looking at the files on the desktop it turns out that many of these files are very old versions
