Windows 10 Issues upgrading from 1909 to 21H1

I'm experiencing difficulties upgrading my system to the latest version of Windows 10.After running the update assistant, I'll log into my account, run `winver` and discover that I'm still on 1909. Update assistant reports that my system is compatible with 21H1.
