Windows 10 Issues with Speech Recognition - how to use in different apps and starting dictation

Okay, so I've been learning to use Speech Recognition, because I have tennis elbow, and I'm trying to mouse less. Finally got things mostly working, but there's some key issues I'm really hoping to have some help with. 1. Does this work in non-Windows applications? Obviously, "mouse grid" works well enough but gets tedious.. For example, I'd like to use my audio editing software Reaper or even more often Discord. Discord does not have a traditional toolbar menu. And when I say "Show Numbers," it says it's NOT AVAILABLE. Which is frankly so frustrating that I want to cry. 2. Turning on and off

Windows 10 I use Windows 10 and Word 7 and Notepad for Dictation of video lecture notes. It listens only in 2 minute segments.
