Windows 10 JEPEG Photos put on USB all open with Microsoft "Picture It". How will others open without Software?

I want to send 67 folders with 733 files to someone mailing a USB drive. After I transferred the files to the USB, I noticed that they only open with my old Microsoft "Picture It" photo-editing software. How do I change the format on all so that anyone will be able to open it?
