KB5044285 failed with 0x80070490. The update history showed (2), which may mean it failed twice (I believe it was more). Other updates around the same time are ok, some may have used "update and shutdown" instead of "update and reboot".My machine is known to have problem starting, usually take more than a couple of retries before boots up. Thus when updates fail, I do a shutdown, which usually means "update and shutdown", then start.For update KB5044285 , the "update and shutdown" seems always trigger "update and reboot" and would leave the machine hang (failing to boot up).
