Windows 11 Keyboard not working after Microsoft update and bitlocker recovery screen showing

After recent Microsoft 11 Pro update on an HP Envy laptop the Bitlocker screen is showing with new recovery key but the keyboard is not working fulling to enter the alphanumberic code. Only the numbers keys work and the number lock is off. Have tried holding power key 2x and keeps starting at same screen.
