Windows 11 Keystrokes not registering until a key is pressed multiple

I got on my laptop this morning to find that whenever I am inputting text in any application that I need to press a key multiple times to get inputs to register. I do not mean that if I wanted to type the letter G that I need to press the G key multiple times, I can press the K key or the Y key a few times, then go back to press the G key and the only keystroke that will register is the final, G input. It seems that my keyboard requires 5 to 7 inputs before "waking up" and actually registering keystrokes, so to speak. This issue happens whenever I open a new tab, leave a text box idle for as l
