Windows 11 Laptop unable to turn on without the charger plugged in after only 1 day. What do I do to fix this? How can I check if the battery is the issue?

I picked up and set up along with charging my new laptop last night and faced no issues. I used it for a few minutes until I shut it down before I went to sleep. It was at 84% battery. Early this morning I attempted to start up my computer and was completely unable to do so as if the battery was completely dead. As soon as I connected the charger it was able to turn on and was at 84%. Should I exchange the device?The model # is 7H9Y3UA#ABA
