I ran the update last night and it bricked my device.

Asus B-121 tablet running Windows Pro 10 20H2.

Got into a recovery USB stick, ran diskpart and the file system on the C: drive partition is labeled as RAW.

Volume # ltr label Fs Type size status Info

Volume 0 C <no label> RAW Partition 118 GB Healthy <Blank>

Volume 2 E <no lable> NTFS Partition 866 MB Healthy Hidden

So, the machine will not boot (there is no OS). All of my data (minimal only used to browse stuff) are gone and my selected programs (I have the installers for all of it).

Since this was Windows Pro and the ISO produced by MS is only Home. How do I get my pro version back without having to pay for it. The device came with Windows 7 Pro and was updated of the wire to 8.0, 8.1 and finally 10. There is no key and I did not make a rescue DVD for it.

By the way, I am backing up by other boxes and I have informed my significant other that she needs to cancel updates until MS fixes this issue.

There is nothing for the recovery USB stick to use to recover the drive. The drive is blank.

Oh - I really do not expect an answer --- just venting.
