Windows 10 Left Shift key sticks for a short period after being held down

Hello! As the title says, the Left Shift key on my laptop is behaving strangely, in that it "sticks" for a few moments after being held down for more than a second or so. This sticking lasts for about two to three seconds. The Right Shift key does not stick, nor do any of the keys near the Left Shift. Sticky Keys is off and the shortcut is disabled, Toggle Keys is off, toggling the Shift keys in the virtual keyboard does not fix the issue, and the issue persists through reboots.
