Windows 11 LG Gram Windows 11 laptop: Screen goes to sleep after 30 seconds when PLUGGED IN

This might be a hardware issue, but I don't know whom to ask because I called LG and the tech support person didn't have a clue. Please direct me to an appropriate forum if this question doesn't belong here.I have a brand new 16" 2-in-1 touchscreen laptop computer. It works great except for this strange issue. Regardless of the battery and power settings, whenever it's plugged in, the screen goes to sleep after a minute or two - sometimes even while I'm working on it, although that hasn't happened today.
