Windows 10 Log in issues

I have powered up my desktop after a long time, win 10, it’s all updated fine, went through rigmarole of resetting password, I have even set a pin, power it up, log in then I get the following: We can’t sign you into your accountThis problem can be fixed by signing out then back inThis does not resolve the issueClick close and it signs me in with temporary profile?
