Windows 10 Many fonts used by Microsoft are poorly thought out - the lowercase L (l) looks like a uppercase i (I)

I have wasted countless hours correcting account because my name has a capital i in it, and most people assume it's a lowercase L. It's not a serif, so it makes no sense that two letters should look identical.


For instance, I will type a string of alternating I's and L's (lowercase). Copy and paste this string in Garamond, and you'll see that they alternate:


IlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIl


This is the case for Calibri and Arial. I have to change the font and spend hours fixing this issue.





Are there any plans to update these fonts to make the letters distinguishable?
