On May 3rd, 2016, Suddenlink converted to all-digital cable in Lake Havasu City
Arizona. They also instituted a new channel lineup. Since that time, my cable cards have been useless because of the lack of correct guide data. I am missing over 100 guide channels along with incorrect time zones and other numerous errors in the minimal guide data currently supplied.
I have talked to approximately a half dozen Suddenlink representatives from local to corporate. All have failed to resolve this problem with the majority not even understanding what I was talking about. I realize I use an "exotic" system of cable cards, HDHomerun Prime devices and Windows Media Center.
My system will not function properly without correct guide data. If data is not supplied for a given channel, it simply does not show up in the guide listings. Without the correct data I cannot record said channels. Incorrect data results in errors in time zones and show schedules leading to more missed recordings.
Can Microsoft do anything to correct this problem?
