Windows 11 media player wont let me edit anything on my songs. windows 11

i recently mastered a song for my band and wanted to listen to it on my computer via Media player. Sadly the album cover is not on there. all the other metadata besides the year and artist are on there and i de really like to fix it but the edit option is grayed off and i don't know why. id really like to get this fixed for my own personal use and for future use. i would like to add a picture to better help but for some reason i cant
