Windows 11 Microphone on headphones aren't working with my PC

I've gone through all the troubleshooting I can find, but for some reason my PC wont pickup audio from any of my gaming headsets Microphones. I've tried using the single aux port and using the splitter that came with my headsets. but no matter the configuration I can hear audio, but my microphone isn't picking up any audio. I've had the problem with 2 different headsets now, both work with my Xbox and they claim to be windows 11 compatible but they aren't working with my PC.
