Symptom: When installing a TurboTax software update, the following error occurs: "A fatal error occurred during installation.
I've disabled all the antivirus, antimalware, firewall, desktop for both McAfee and Windows to install a TurboTax update. I've been on the phone with TurboTax people & no help. Although they sent me a patch that I downloaded, turned the machine off, etc., it seems to be in a loop and coming back with the same error. I'm at my wits end. What do I do?
