Windows 11 Microsoft mouse and keyboard center app does not recognize computer's keyboard

i want to change a key on my computer keyboard and thought using the Microsoft mouse and keyboard center app would make that possible, but when i starts to open, i get the message "no supported device detected." But i don't want another device, just the computer keyboard -- what should i do please?
