Windows 11 Microsoft Photos App is installed on my PC on C Drive - in installed apps dated 8/11/2024 - why? and I would like to delete it, will it affect my phot

As question states - my C Drive is recently near full, and so I am going through apps installed on it. I noticed that it appears a new app, Photos by Microsoft Corporation with date next to it of 8/11/2024 is the 3rd largest app on my C Drive. Why was it installed on 8/11/2-24, I didn't initiate it? I need to uninstall it. Will it affect any of my Photos in any way?? I do not use OneDrive at all.Help please. thank you.
