Windows 11 Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard Malfunction

My Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard is no longer working. I have had the Sculpt set since January 2023, with no issue until now. I have replaced the batteries several times (they are not expired), and the keyboard works for 1 minute and then shuts off. Since there is no on/off button (a terrible design flaw), if I remove the batteries and replace them immediately, the green light will come on and it will work for around 1 minute before again shutting off.
