Windows 11 Microsoft sculpt key functions changed

I have a microsoft sculpt keyboard and the upper row of keys are operating as hotkeys (i.e,, when I press "w" it turns caps lock on, when I press "o" I get "-o") and I can't figure out how to turn this back off. How do I turn this off and get the keys to operate normally. I have removed the batteries, unplugged the USB, and restarted the computer several times each. I cannot find the power button on this model (was purchased in 2021).
