Windows 11 Microsoft Store Gets updates get stuck "Pending". And every new app tells me to go to the Xbox App to dowload - But these are not Xbox apps

I have a problem with the Store app on Windows 11. When I try to download updates on Microsoft Store the updates get stuck as "Pending". I have tried to follow all the online help forums and tried resetting and even tried reinstalling Microsoft Store on my PC using Powershell commands. Nothing has fixed the problem - I still can't download updates for anything and now the Store loads as "Microsoft Store Preview" and when I try to download new apps it tells me to download them from the Xbox App - That doesn't work - if I click that link it just goes to an error page on the Xbox App - and often
