Windows 10 Microsoft store keeps trying to update apps repeatedly causing crashes on Xbox app

While trying to play games on Xbox game pass, the games are repeatedly crashing within minutes. I noticed on the Microsoft store that updates for the Xbox app and other apps (Solitaire, xbox game bar, Xbox Identity Provider etc) were coming up even after updating them. I have tried lots of ways to fix this. I used troubleshooting, repairing the apps, redownloading the Xbox app, clearing the SoftwareDistribution folder, and much more. Any help would this would be appreciated as I can't seem to play any games on Xbox game pass.
