So when I first attempt to wirelessly connect my Microsoft surface to my laptop so I can use the Surface as a secondary monitor, it works fine. However, as soon as my laptop goes to sleep (whenever I take a bathroom break), the connection is broken and the Surface is not discoverable anymore even after restarting both mobile devices. I confirmed that they are both connected to the same network and I can even pair both to each other over bluetooth, but still cannot pair to make the Surface a second display despite being connected over bluetooth.
Additionally, whenever I manage to succeed in connecting over wireless, the connection is sluggish and hardly usable. is there an alternative way to connect using HDMI. My Surface has only standard USB and mini displayport inputs. If there is a way to do this using a wired connection that would actually be my preference!
