We love widi also. However, the newer computers we are ordering from Dell. 5580, and 7280's particularly don't work. They have integrated Intel wifi HD graphics (with the latest drivers). We also made sure they had the latest wifi drivers. The wifi card is the 8265 from intel as well. BIOS is fully updated. I installed the latest available version of WiDi for Windows 7, and after installation i get a message saying that my hardware isn't compatible (it is on the compatibility list for Miracast).
Since support was pulled from Intel for the WiDi application we have no way of getting new WiDi versions. Are we just out of luck with Windows 7 on the intel 8265 wireless adapter?
