Windows 10 Minecraft Launcher Install Invalid Drive G:\

I had Microsoft Launcher installed on my old external hard drive but the hard drive went bad and I was unable to recover my files. When I now try to install the launcher on my new drive F:\ I'm getting the error "Invalid Drive G:\". I've tried subst the old drive with the new but I have no files to work with. Not sure what to do at this point because I can't uninstall the launcher from my unrecoverable drive. Any help would be appreciated.
