Windows 11 Missing COM ports from Device Management in Windows 11

I updated to a new windows 11 laptop and I am trying to connect to several COM devices via USB. In the device manager the device, is listed under "Other Devices." On the old system it was listed under, "Ports (COM & LPT)". The device driver appears in the universal serial bus controller. I have python code that connects to the device via pyserial. Using serial.tools.comports, I am unable to see any connected com devices. I have tried to "Add legacy device" but the menu is not available. How do I get COM ports back or is there another library I can use to interface with the devices?
