Windows 11 Monitor audio does not work

I recently got a new Microsoft Surface laptop and connected it to a monitor that worked perfectly with my previous Lenovo laptop. The monitor displays the screen as expected, but the sound plays through the laptop instead of the monitor.I'm confident that my HDMI cable and USB-C connection (I used multiple) are fine, but the laptop doesn't show any other sound output options in the sound settings.How can I fix this?
