Windows 11 Mouse cursor disappears in some apps when typing not others

One of my users is complaining that their mouse disappears and it's annoying trying to find it. In testing I have found it to happen in both Windows 10 and 11. In Word, Publisher, and notepad. It's happening in Office 2016, 2019, and 2021.I looked around and disabled "Hide my cursor when typing" from the mouse settings and disabling hardware acceleration in Word with no success. It's almost like these programs are ignoring the setting?Any help would be appreciated.
