Windows 11 Mouse is double clicking after sixth click.

I have been having an issue with double clicking since upgrading to windows 11. What I have noticed is that it only double clicks after the sixth click. My old mouse did this and a brand new mouse straight out of the box. I have no programs that affects my mouse nor do I have unwanted background programs running that could cause this. Is there a fix?
