Windows 10 Multi Monitor Setup Causes Windows Explorer Search Box Growth

I have a 4K primary monitor and two HD auxiliaries. Moving a Windows Explorer window between my monitors resizes the search box in a non-reversible/non-proportional way - i.e. moving from 4K to HD grows the box, but the reverse doesn't shrink it by the same amount / proportion. This means as I move my Explorer windows around the search box gradually gets larger and larger.Since Windows search has sucked forever, I never use it anyway and ideally I'd like to get rid of the search box entirely.
