A fiend on mine has a laptop and the screen has been damaged. The laptop is working but the screen is dead so he plugs the the TV into the laptop via a HDMI cable and that works but his partner cannot watch the TV while he is using his laptop. I have an old monitor (an Analog1280 x 1024) I could give him. He is not very computer literate so I said I would get it working. Just plugging the monitor did not work but I expected this so I had brought a bit of kit which plugs into a USB port and provides 2 more HDMI ports plus more USB ports and an ethernet cable port so I could plug the TV in and u
