Windows 10 my encrypted txt files turned into .pfile extention

hello please im in need for urgent help, i had a folder inside it a group of .txt files (about 10 files), i encrypted them with efs.pfx certificate, and i had to change my laptop during travel time, i copied them into usb flash, and when i put the usb into macbook pro at my work, suddenly the files are not working and show .txt.pfile extension instead of .txt when i came back to my old laptop windows 10 system on it , i inserted the usb and same result.im not able to open the files although i have the certificate with passwords any solution please ??
