Windows 10 my Encryption wont work on files and i have a virus that is stuck on my computer

so i have a windows 10 im trying to Encrypt a empty file folder but for some reason i can't i go to properties on the folder then i click advanced in general and i see that the Encryption button is grayed out it doesn't work i try everything searching on the Microsoft website for a long time i try everything i see and none of it works i have reseted my computer like 5 times. i also have a stagnant virus on my computer i tryed everything to get rid of it done like 5 scans they were all full scans my computer found nothing and i see that i have a virus because i go to security and it sa
