Windows 10 My new laptop keeps freezing, crashing, and the screen keeps turning black, as well as a ton of other issues.

I recently purchased a new laptop with good specs and a high resolution screen (2-4 months ago). I have rarely used it as I have been on break (I'm a university student, and have been on break for about 3 months). When I do use it however, there is never a time where I don't come across a single issue when I am using it. Often the issues happen when I first start my laptop up, and these issues can range from blank screens to excessive bootup time (10 minutes for a new, rarely used computer??), overheating and apps like Microsoft edge crashing with just a few tabs open. My laptop will overheat
