Hey,

So there was an instance where I switched on my PC (Windows 10) but it did not start. My mouse light was on, CPU light was on, and keyboard lights were also on, but the monitor was not switching on. So I switched off and on the main switch to restart my computer.

As the PC was switched on, the message "Your PC ran into a problem" was displayed on the screen. It then took a while to process and then gave me two options: Restart and Advanced.

I clicked restart and it formatted my PC. The home screen was changed to the stock Lenovo home screen (my PC is Lenovo). During the reboot, a message "repairing windows" was displayed as well. However, I still had my documents and files in C>User. But the next day, the same happened again, and the PC formatted but this time, it wiped my documents and files as well.

Moreover, I am not able to open any Windows application like WhatsApp web, Mail, Calculator, etc.

The PC is not entirely formatted because I still have a few files left. Moreover, all of my WiFi connections are also saved. I don't know what to make out of this partial format that keeps on happening again and again.

The files I lost were very important, it had all my past work, portfolio, reports, etc.

I don't know how to explain this problem in a better way. I don't know if I have clearly explained my problem or not, but if someone has a solution to it, and can help me recover the lost files, it would be of great help.

I am adding the screenshot of the current homepage which was changed after the format.
