Windows 11 my rioddas dvd player shows up in "my computer" with files, but doesn't play the video on my laptop. I have 365 and windows 11 which has media player

I have plugged in my new Rioddas DVD/CD player, but when I insert the dvd, no movie comes up. I have checked "my computer" and it appears to recognize the device and I have Media Player on my Windows 11 and Microsoft Home 365. Have I missed something? I had assumed that the video would come up right away. I can hear the DVD player working. Are there other settings that I should check. When I activate the dvd, the microsoft store comes up on my screen with DVD player/ app choices. Thanks!
