Windows 11 My spotlight wont change image. I have tried everything.

My windows spotlight doesn't work. It has been stuck on one picture for more than a month. I have tried resetting it by renaming settings.dat to settings,dat,bak and roaming.lock to roaming.lock.bak. I tried deleting all the files in the Assets folder. Nothing worked. After resetting spotlight, i got a black image once, which reverted to the old picture once I restarted my laptop. I enabled msedge on startup apps, tried disabling and reenabling spotlight. Nothing seems to work. Is there any way to get it to work? reinstalling windows is too much of a hassle, I need easier alternatives.
