My WD Passport 2TB suddenly turned Raw and Asks for format. But I don’t want to format it, I’ve got too much data stored in it. How to fix this issue?

I read from a similar thread that running … =>

Cmd: chkdsk #: /f /r /x

#: is the drive’s letter.

… can fix hard drive’s logical and physical, in term of bad OR damaged segments, problems.

However when I run this commend on my computer it got stuck in state 4 of 5 for nearly a full 24 hours!

10 percent complete. <101 of 64752 files processed>

See the screenshot.

I would like to know if there is any other way to fix the drive faster?

The drive I bought supposedly has 3-years warranty and I just bought it several months ago. Currently due to Covid-19 lockdown the supplier’s shop remains closed and it’s not clear for how long it’s gonna be like this. In the other hands I need to regain access to my Hard Drive as urgently as possible.

Some sources suggesting using EaseUS Partition Master to perform the same task above. I haven’t used this application, can anyone say if it’s good to try OR if there is a better alternative?

Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you
