Whenever my battery is less than 90% and I shut down my laptop, then I power in back on again without it being plugged in, once the boot is successful, it shuts itself down and nothing works including the power button. I have to close the lid and open it again before the power button works and it keeps repeating the process until I charge it back to a 100% or plug it in to a power source.The laptop battery is fine because as long as it's on, it will run until the battery is low but once it's shut down, even if it's not low but just a little below 90%, it does the shutdown thing.
