Windows 11 Neither "Portable Devices" nor "Other Devices" are present in Device Manager on my laptop which runs Windows 11, why and how do I fix it?

I have a laptop that I'm finally able to set up and use properly. However, before I can manage my other, portable devices I noticed that, when I view the Device Manager, neither "Portable Devices" or "Other devices" are present as options. I believe this explains why - despite happily charging from my completely functional usb-a port - none of the devices I have attempted to connect to my laptop have registered.Why is this?Have the drivers been moved under a different options?Most importantly, how can I fix this to install the appropriate drivers for my devices?
