Windows 10 new battery draining very fast

Hi all, i have just bought a new battery for my hp pavillion g6 and its draining fast, also some times when i unplug the charger it switches off straight away, my old battery drained fairly quick also and that is why i bought a new one, i have tried my best to turn all draining apps off etc but still having same problem..........maybe time to upgrade my laptop??
