Windows 11 New desk microphone doesn't work on Windows 11?

Hi, I'm using Windows 11. This is the first time I have tried using a microphone on my PC.My new Logik desk microphone isn't working in the headset jack socket on the front of my PC and Ive also tried plugging it into the pink jack socket on the back (although the symbol doesnt look like a microphone symbol). I just wanted to experiment by doing some speech to text dication. Can anyone help please?
