Windows 11 New laptop. Microsoft blocking any access

Bought new laptop last wk. On start-up it asks for my email address, the one I have as a registered Microsoft account. I have tested this on another laptop & can login no problem. It's now a massive problem as this password not being accepted, means that the computer is totally inaccessible - no other screens available, no internet access, nothing as Microsoft is preventing going past the email login screen. Entered my Microsoft account, clicked NEXT, totally blocked from proceeding any further. Not even any way to contact Microsoft other than this, and even this was a major pain in the a*
