For the past two days I have been attempting to setup my new SSD (970 evo 1tb) with a clean install of windows from usb. However, I am encountering a problem I have worked on all day without being able to fix. Windows has been installed on the ssd, but when i try to boot from it I get:
Windows Failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix this problem: blah blah repair computer in setup disk.
File: \Windows\System32\Winload.exe
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The application or operating system couldn’t be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.
I’ve attempted to removed the current BCD and rebuild a new one, however, when exporting the BCD it goes directly under C: instead of under C:\Windows\boot\bcd or whatever that all the instructions say it should go (if that matters). Regardless, I rename it as BCD.old and run bootrec /rebuildbcd and it still returns 0 windows installations. I appreciate any responses attempting to help.
