Windows 10 Newly created folders on desktop goes into recycle bin in Windows 10

When I create a new folder on my desktop in windows 10, it automatically gets deleted and goes into the recycle bin. If I pull it out of the recycle bin, it gets deleted and goes back into the recycle bin. If I create a new folder in another location (another folder) and drag it onto the desktop, it remains there. I have checked my windows updates and I am current. I have run multiple antivirus programs and no viruses were found. This just occurred yesterday. Any help is greatly appreciated.Another follow-up.
