Windows 11 Noise in the Headphones When Microphone Is Boosted

When I use the enhancements feature to boost the volume of the microphone, I hear noise in the headphones, even though the option “Listen to this device” is not enabled.Noise is also generated in the headphones even when the microphone is not connected to the computer.I experience this problem on my desktop computer only. On the laptop computer, boosting the volume of the microphone does not affect the sound in the headphones.Does anyone know why noise is generated in the headphones despite the fact that the option “Listen to this device” is not enabled?
