Hi everyone,
I have recently realized that my Notepad and Windows Explorer don't function properly with the keyboard shortcuts provided by Windows. This issue seems to be language specific.
Notepad:
In summary, I am using Portuguese as the display language for Windows and the standard save shortcut is Ctrl+G, to create a new file is Ctrl+O, however these shortcuts behave is if I had English as the main language: Ctrl+G goest to line and Ctrl+O tries to open a new file.
Windows explorer:
WIth explorer the bug is even more weird. Alt+P is the shorcut for the preview pane (same as the english version). It works well when I'm in "This PC" screen, it opens and closes the pane. However, if I enter any folder, the "Share" menu tab appears, and in Portuguese it stands for "Partilhar", and because it starts by "P", Alt+P opens that menu tab instead
I have tried to change the display language to english, delete the portuguese keyboard in definitions and then change back and it still does nothing. After checking some family and friends, they experience exactly the same so this is a Microsoft Bug, not a user specific thing.
How can I find a solution to this (manually changing the shortcuts for each app with registry maybe?)
Thank you so much,
Tiago
